Can the Inn accommodate weddings, receptions, reunions and
meetings?
Yes, and we've done them all, from small intimate weddings in our
pier gazebo, to family and college reunions at the pool. Generally,
30-40 sit-down guests are the most we can handle in our reception/dining area. There's probably no more romantic place to be married than
at the Inn, or the Whalehead Club, the Lighthouse or even on the beach.
In addition, there is a turn-of-the-century chapel located close by that
many couples have used to tie the knot (but reserve early....it stays
booked up). In addition, the Inn has an on-site consultant to help with wedding and honeymoon plans.
What types of payments does the Inn accept?
We prefer Visa credit cards but will accept Discover and Master

How far away are the ocean and those wonderful beaches
we've heard about?
Actual distance to the ocean is about 1/4 mile, but most guests will
take one of the Inn's complimentary bikes and bike over to Corolla
Light's oceanfront complex. In addition, Corolla Light has open-air
trolleys that it operates during summer and most of the spring and fall
that will take guests anywhere within the resort.
How far away is the Corolla
Resort Indoor Sports Complex?
It is only two blocks away. Again, many guests take a bike or the
trolley over (after all, you are on vacation). The resort complex
features Olympic pools, a huge hot tub, two clay tennis courts, racquetball,
wolleyball, workout room, saunas, table tennis, and video game
machines. The Sports Center charges a nominal fee for use of indoor tennis courts,
towels, racquets and balls, etc.
How far are the Whalehead Club and the Lighthouse?
Just a little ways up the soundfront. Since this is outside Corolla Light
Resort (just barely outside), there isn't any trolley service. Most
guests walk or bike along the nature and bike trails.
Is there kayaking and watersports close by?
In the summer the Inn operates wave runners, jetskis, fishing, crabbing,
and other water sports from its pier. In addition, in the spring, summer
and fall there are kayaking and eco-tours.
Is golf nearby?
Within minutes of the Inn is a championship golf course (voted one
of the 10 best new golf courses in the country). Many other courses are
located in the Nags Head area or on the Currituck mainland.
How good is the fishing?
Surf fishing is OK most of the year and best in the fall. If you
want to go Deep Sea fishing; that is available in Nags Head (about an
hour away) or, of course, Hatteras (about two hours away). Fishing in
the Sound is not very good, unless you have a guide. If you want to go
deep sea fishing, it is best to book these trips well in advance. Some
of the Captains have strange policies about credit cards, checks and
cash so shop early.

Located within the Resort of Corolla Light are shops and restaurants. Within minutes are more shops
and restaurants, and still more are located in Duck (about 10 miles
away).
What else is there to do in the area?

Brothers Memorial, Elizabethan Gardens, surfing, and more. You would
have to take a vacation from your vacation if you tried to do all the
things available to do.

Yes, the Inn offers several beautiful
rental homes and a 3 bedroom oceanside
condo. Availability is limited with these properties, so it is
wise to reserve them in advance for the best seasonal selection.
